Welcome to the newly started, and exciting learning project at Alliance and Leicester Leeds, designed to help and encourage you, our members to learn, grow and progress.

We provide a point of contact within the workplace for life long learning both within A&L and through external course providers. We can help with anything from refresher courses in I.T. through literacy and numeracy to long term courses. Over the next few months I will be talking to you to find out what you want and hopefully be able to make a few interesting suggestions and arrange some courses for us at Leeds.

Our aim is to develop a range of course around your needs and at times that suit your busy lifestyles, just some of the ideas Ideas suggested so far include;

• British Sign Language (BSL)

• I.T. skills & internet skills

• Assertiveness

• Digital photography

• Yoga

• Book of the month club

• How to help with your children's homework.

Some of you will already know me, those that don't, rest assured you will getting to know me very soon as I really want to listen to your needs, I'm Wendy Hyde. I've been a member of the CWU for about eight years and ULR for the past few months. Here is a little picture of me, oh and just in case, I am the one without the beard...
